La Vie en Rose

Her life was turned upside down by the loss of her husband.

My goal was to transform her condo so that it might be a place of joy for years to come.

Rose is a true romantic. Not only was her place filled with photos and memorabilia,

but also the sound of the TMC movie channel. I can imagine this Delco girl as a Hollywood starlet…

Project Overview:

The story began with her boudoir. She was ready to part with the fancy green bedroom room set that they had inherited as young newlyweds.

A blush custom headboard in a starburst design, chic dressers, elegant bedding and drapery with a bit of sparkle set the stage.

She chose to keep her chaise lounge and antique lamps that added to the Old Hollywood vibe.

Next scene would be the living room. She fell in love with the soft and elegant sculpted rug.

The romantic lines of the soft gray sofa with custom nailhead pattern are just her style. The cozy accent chairs upholstered with a blush linen are great companions.

The media cabinet has a bit of a Parisian vibe. The tiered marble cocktail table mirrors the circle motif of the rug.

Antique silver etageres display her collection of memorabilia and frame her treasured photos of her and her beloved husband.

Lastly the guest room needed to offer a place for her son and grandchildren to stay and serve as her home office.

A futon with a jazzy cover plus a plush “snoozebox”( an ottoman that pops up into an extra single bed) on casters would do the trick for her favorite guests.

She chose a vintage style desk, tufted desk chair and a crystal lamp to crate a home office space
