Updated Horse Farmhouse for Multigenerational Household

This Chester county farmhouse was adopted last year to serve as a multigenerational home.

Project Overview:

The parents live in an in law suite that is above the shared kitchen, that overlooks the horse stables that they lovingly maintain together. The upstairs floor of the main home is dedicated to the young couple who will soon be returning with their newborn. Although they all share a generous family room together, the young couple wanted a living room to their own. So the dining room was converted for this purpose with the barn door to offer them privacy.
