The Story
Our client for this project was a newly retired technological innovator ready to embrace the joys of life in his three-season sunroom. His vision for the space was clear – a transitional design with clean lines, nature-inspired patterns and artisanal touches. The sunroom had been neglected for five years, serving as a catchall space, but he was ready to turn it into a livable oasis.
The Solutions
We opted for a Mid-Century Modern style, perfect for the casual ambiance he sought. To maintain the focus on the breathtaking garden view, we used a neutral wall color as a fresh backdrop.
A bold area rug became the centerpiece that infused the room with character. Artful lounge chairs, patterned pillows, and sleek black wishbone dining chairs harmoniously unified the different groupings in the space.
An Asian-inspired floor lamp provided an elegant accent, and a mahogany “Mad Men-esque” bar added a touch of sophistication – a well-deserved indulgence for our client.
The Outcome
The completed sunroom design is filled with warmth, charm, and character in every detail. Now our client is enjoying a tranquil, inviting space to savor life’s moments on a daily basis.
